Killarney Pub [6911 5th Ave], Say it ain't so! It's been a great run but as Brooklyn Paper first reported, this Bay Ridge institution of 90 years is closing according to owner, Paddy Finn. We wish him well on his future endeavors.
 At the end of the day, it's hard to ignore the shifting demographic that's seemingly befalling many great businesses along 5th Ave that aren't adaptable to the kinds of change we've been seeing in recent years.  Well, at least for one more night, you can lament along with everyone.  The closing party is going to be tonight (Oct 9) from 4–10 pm.  Pull up a chair and have one last pint or two.  Although the building is sold, no immediate plans have been made for the space as of yet.
