Updates From 3rd Ave Restaurant Row

Grotto Italian Table [8901 3rd Ave.], the Italian restaurant we last reported in early September gave us quite a pleasant surprise by opening over the weekend (Fri/Sat). Please welcome them to the neighborhood if you have a chance and let us know what you think!

Bombay Grill, the Indian restaurant [8716 3rd Ave] we last reported awhile ago between 87/88th St. finally shows progress.
They have a name, signage, and an awning as of a couple week ago and continues to march closer to an opening date (Oct/Nov). After having been mired in a mountain of paperwork with the NYC DOB, they are hard at work once again renovating the premises with warm tones and dark wood trim throughout.  Their website is up and running, and they do have take-out menus ready to go, posted outside.

Update: The owners have said they moved their opening date from 10/30 to Monday 11/3
