April Weekend Ideas

Yes, Spring is (still) officially here, even if the recent weather, Ultima, and Easter are officially behind us.  At a loss for things to do this weekend in the 'Ridge? Fear not, we've listed some top things to get your April going.

Brooklyn Daily has a few ideas as local favorites are participating in some good causes.  HoM is throwing a benefit for animal rescue group, Twenty Paws Rescue (Fri 7:30pm), No Quarter Tavern is helping to raise money to cure Multiple Sclerosis (Sat 6pm).  Leif Bar is throwing a Fleet Week fund-raiser (Sun, 2-9pm), and Salty Dog is collecting donations for the annual Norwegian Day Parade (Sun 4-8pm). $5-$20

Art on the Corner according to Brooklyn Daily Eagle tells us on Sat, 4/25, they're kicking off Jazz Nights with a "Crime Jazz" concert at 8 p.m. $30

Smorgasburg kicked off last weekend (Apr 4-5), you can chow down at Brooklyn Bridge Park on Sundays. Varies

Don't want to travel far? We don't blame you. The weather is nice enough to walk along Shore Road. Swing by Narrows Botanical Garden, and see if the 4.5 acre haven is spruced up yet (bet. Bay Ridge Ave & 72nd St.).  Free

We're looking forward to the  Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden (4/25-26)
 $12

Explore Brooklyn lists some upcoming openings, festivals, and fairs for you to consider.
