Cream Doughnuts Opens on 3rd Ave

Cream Coffee Shop & Doughnuts [7210 B 3rd Ave] opened earlier last week on 11/11 to the delight of Bay Ridge residents, offering wonderfully crafted doughnuts to the masses. If you recall, 7210 used to be occupied by Farah's Hair Studio for several years before moving last year to 8120 3rd Ave.

Bay Ridge Beat sat down earlier this week to talk to them about their recent opening.  "Surprised! We've received a warm reception from the neighborhood," said the owner.  They confirmed they sold out their allotment of doughnuts over their first weekend.

Cream Coffee Shop & Doughnuts fills a void that's missing in Bay Ridge, places that the younger demographic (ie. students) crave for in order to hang out, unwind and chat over a cup of coffee or study.  This is apparent as there are outlets adorning the walls along the bench seating.

As for the doughnuts, if you're a foodie fan of Fany Gerson, then you'll happy to hear they stock their current inventory from Dough they make a fresh batch daily on-site, and intermittently throughout the day, so that no customer is left with a doughnut that's been sitting around, a practice adopted by Dough.  They're working on a flavor of the month and some initiatives with local schools to build goodwill.  If doughnuts aren't your thing, there's also croissants and macarons from MacarOn Paris.  To pair your sweet tooth, on offer are brews from roaster, Stumptown Coffee and later in the month specialty coffee drinks to quash the raging demand for holiday espresso drinks.  Earlier this week, they earned the attention of Eater NY with a quick shout out.  So far, they're on the right track. We wish them well.

You can find them on Facebook; so check it out.

  1. I went there yesterday and was told something different regarding the donuts - they are not made onsite, rather they are actually brought in from "Dough" and resold at Cream. So, if you want truly fresh donuts, head over to Mike's on 5th Ave or Bagel Schmagel.

    1. We've re-confirmed what you've discovered and have revised what we said earlier. They did originally bake theirs up until November, but do not currently. Thanks for the tip!
